Thanks! When I look back I can agree, but looking ahead it doesn't seem like it.

Spending the day drilling spot welds and cleaning everything for the new floor.

VERY time consuming, but I'm getting quite a bit done today (Sat). Planning on tackling more tomorrow so I can start patching some nice new rust holes I found:

Doing great.

Oh boy! I don't miss those days of grinding metal. Went to the hospital a couple times with metal fragments in my eye. Or my ear ringing afterwards even though I wore hearing protection head phones. My inner ear was messed up was why. Anyway, just be careful not to overdo it and keep a good pace.

I'm still making progress, but nothing really exciting. Lots of cleaning and patching. Trying to decide whether to repair my trans crossmember, or to just replace it.

Maybe I'll start repairing it and see how it goes. Here is a rear seat pan repair I'm attempting right now....

I cut slots in the patch and made the ribs out of 5/8" o.d. tubing, split with a skinny wheel. I deleted the body plug hole thingy. Didn't think I needed the extra place for water to leak through. I'll do the same with the driver's side (the patch won't need to be as large there).

Here is a trick I used for making those little ribs in the floor pan. I used a ball peen hammer and placed the sheet metal over an open vise. You can work the metal into the half round shapes and if you do little at a time, not rip through.
