A little progress. Firewall and both door pillars / cowl sides are all welded in. This took awhile to get done for a couple of reasons. I had a really busy summer, and I was pretty nervous about getting this right.
I also test fitted the new floor... everything is looking pretty good as far as fit so far.

I'll post another update soon!  :working:

:wow:  looking good Mike!  Sometimes it a really good idea to step back and rethink the next step before pulling the trigger... I know I`ve saved myself a lot of trouble that way.....  on the other hand,  step back too long and the unfinshed project may and up on ebag some day...  :scared:
I love this rustbucket rebuild buddy, you are doing an awesome job  :worshippy   keep posting away... I can already smell the fresh paint   :jumping:    ..... well maybe not ,  but I smell dust anyways.....  :bananasmi

No way Bart!  :grinno:

I got more accomplished today: Wet sanded the top of the firewall that is covered by the upper cowl with 240, cleaned with laquer thinner and painted with POR 15. I then sealed the duct opening flanges with NP 1:

I painted inside the frame rails with POR 15:

I then welded the upper cowl in:

I'll clean up the welds, then it's finally time for the floor!  :faint:

Keep going!
You haven't even gotten to the fun part yet.

White dust all over you with body filler and primer stuck on your fingertips.
