brake pad recomendation needed

I'm replacing everything on my brakes. Pin style calipers. Was wondering what front pads you have used with good results? Looking for something over the counter at my local jobber, don't want to special order something? This will be a street car no autocrossing etc...

I searched high and low a few years ago looking for a "better" pad than the standard issue that everyone listed.... Finally ran across Wagner Thermo Quite  MX39...They were listed at Oreilly's as semi metallic.  Fit was right on....time will tell how good they are but the box says Made in USA, for what that's worth.

Just tried to order these and they are obsolete? Can't get them?

But they don't mention semi metallic

I bought my pads over the counter from NAPA, they were semi metalic, very reasonably priced compared to what we pay here in Australia, under US$40 for 2 sets, don't have part #.

With teh stock calipers, your choices will probably simply come down to semi-metallic or organic. Oganic will wear faster, fade sooner, and make more dust, but will wear faster than rotors. Semis will last longer, make less dust, will wear rotors faster and have greater potential for squeaking.

My experience with semi metallic has been less squeaking/squealing than organic in fact I fitted many models of cars with semi metallic to stop customers coming back with squealing/squeaking, rotors wore slightly more depend upon how aggressive a person was on the brakes, I never gave those customers an option.
