Today was the final verdict on if I would get the job or not.

The manager who interviewed me the first time called me about 10am this morning.

I could tell by his voice right away it didn't sound good. So I lost to another contender.  :bricks1:

He said he really liked me and almost picked me. But the other guy had better credentials. We left off that if there's an opening in the future, he would call me.

It certainly seemed like a good fit for me. A sales and repair job combined. That's what I really want to do. But I just can't find it.  :banghead:

Keep your chin up, I know it's tough out there.  I feel very fortunate to have my current job.  I have friends that were let go the same time I was, been 3yrs now, that still haven't found a job.

Hang in there!

Sorry to hear that news Mike, it was obvious how much you would have liked that job. But at least you are in a good situation in that you do now have a job and can look around to better yourself at the same time. Good Luck friend.

OMG.

They just called me this morning. After re evaluating the hire decision, he decided to hire me. My training will begin in St. Paul, MN on April 16.  :cooldancing:

No just for training.

BTW, one of my perks:

Is an account at the HP Pavillion. Which means I can go in there to..."ahem" Service my account while there is a rock concert or Sharks game going on.

Awesome! Good news.

I am still hoping for work, it has been dismal here, I am running out of things to sell.
