This doesn't really have any bearing on anything, but about a year ago when I removed my gas tank, I found a giant spring lying in the bottom. Everything works with the tank as far as the sending unit and pick up, but I can figure out where this spring came from. It actuall looks like a spring off of an old gas station pump nozzle. Is there supposed to be a spring of that size in there for some reason or another? Also, what if any noticeable affect will a crushed vent line have on the car. It seems that the previous owner had sidepipes installed on the car. Yes..... sidepipes. The ventline is badly crushed. I have the new set of supply and vent lines, but I've been procrastinating for about 3 years now. I was under the gun to get the car ready for my wedding last august, and that was one of the things I skipped over. Now that I am under no pressure I was wondering if the replacement of the vent/supply lines is a massive undertaking, or one that can be completed in a day or two.
