This was discussed here about them a long time ago. Can't find the thread.
Dealer installed customer request item. I've seen one before a long time ago.

I don't recall if the dealerships contracted out the work or did it themselves.

I was going to reply that I remembered seeing a Challenger SE with vinyl top & opera windows back in the day, but between advancing years and the fact it was the 70's I didn't totally trust my memory....  I don't remember it being as late as a 73 though, I seem to recall it was only on the  70 or 71 SE models with the smaller rear window.... Of course they did a bunch of ugly things to cars & vans back then.

E-bodies never came from the factory with the Opera Windows, but the dealership or aftermarket would do them for a customer no problem.

Ok, I am unsure of what you guys are talking about.
Does anyone have a picture?
I had a van with mushroom windows and star windows.
Are these windows what you all are talking about?

I remember a pic of a Cuda/Barracuda 72/73/74? that was floating around here many years ago.
I believe it was maroon with a white vinyl top with the opera window incorporated into it.
Anyone remember, or have that pic saved?
I've got it on one of my other, older hard drives, but I'd have to sift through gigs upon gigs to try and find it now  :-\

I am sorry but I think opera windows would absolutely kill the look of the car. Kind of like an aftermarket sunroof but on the sides so you can see it better. Maybe a picture would make a different impression but just thinking about it makes me shudder   :scared:
