At the least, it has some sort of electronic lock-up torque converter. That has a heat sensor wired into it as well that won't let the tranny go into overdrive until the engine/tranny is warm enough. At least this is how it is on my Ram truck with Hemi + auto tranny. I imagine they adopted the same tranny for use in the passenger cars. Plus you will need some sort of adapter flange from 440 to new style tranny...
