Eddy Torker 440 Intake
« on: March 15, 2010 - 03:13:00 PM »
 Guys:

I found a brand new in box Eddy Torker 440 intake. Now I had planned on buying a Performer RPM, but I am reconsidering now. Torker 440 = FREE!!!!!! & NEW

So the next question is this, what is the power range of the Torker ??

And would it work well with the Mopar 484 114 LSA cam I plan to buy. The cam range is = 2,200-5,900.

Thoughts ??????

two flavors of Torkers plus the Eddy rpm

Free might not be bad :)

Everytime I see a set of tests, I am glad I followed CP's advice and found a Street Dominator. :)

That I recall that is the perfect rpm range for the Torker manifold.  I would strongly consider at least trying it on your engine.  (I gave you my history with this manifold in your M1 vs. Ede thread).

That is pretty intersting.  I looked around for something like that quite a while ago and never found anything.  I have a Torker II and had heard that it was not a good performer.  So I bought a Performer RPM and it is on the engine now.  Some day, I will have to do a swap, depending on how they line up, and see what happens.  I wonder how the Street Dominator would have performed had it been stock??  Good article, thanks for posting!

Had one of those on my old 70 chally along with the smaller factory cam (Hemi grind), cheapo small tube headers, a Holley carb off a 428 Ford and the factory electronic ignition. No headwork (porting) and a stock engine rebuild on a '67 440 motor. It did 12.20's in good weather with 9" slicks. 4.10 Dana rear with a pinion snubber & 4 speed & Auto at different times. A very fun car.  :grinyes:

I would definately get it and use it.  :2cents:

Another 440, a complete 383 & 727, 3 8.75 rears, New Torker Intake, used but looks like new 474 cam, a rusty 509 cam, and a complete 58 392 Hemi and 57 354 Hemi.

My friend put the cam in about 20 years ago (when it was his motor).  He called it a purple hemi grind cam.  Whatever that is.  I think 284/484.
