shoulder belt location ?
« on: March 15, 2010 - 07:38:15 PM »
Could someone post some nice close up pics of where the shoulder belt brackets are mounted over the door in a 72 cuda. My interior is restored with new headliner but I didn't have shoulder belts at the time of resto, now bolt holes are covered. Interior guy said he'd put them on if I could locate holes. Any help here would be great. Thanks,

Good question.  I'm in the same boat.  I can kind of feel what I think are the screw holes but scared to be wrong.  I should have installed the screws ahead of time so I could locate them better.

You can definately feel them through the headliner.  They are pretty big, and right where you think they'd be.  Don't be afraid to push hard.

If you can feel the bracket use a small needle and poke a hole. You can look at the outside bracket and get an idea where the holes are.I forget to put the inside brackets on.I removed the trim and peeled back the headliner to locate the holes.
