I know you are beaming with pride and joy as a father of a new born!!! Take care of your wife and child and enjoy every minute of that precious time you have with them as you probably already know they grow up FAST!!!

Update. The doc is holding Maile in the NICU until Wednesday afternoon because one of her tests came back elevated. I only have internet on my phone so I can't post pics. I will when I can.

Sorry to hear that she has to stay a few more days. My youngest was in the hospital for 30 days. It can be tough, but you have all of us here pulling for you and your family!!!

UPDATE*

Maile came home from the hospital on the 8th. I would have gotten pics up sooner but we just got internet back up. So here is what everyone has been waiting for!!!

Congratulations Drew. This really brings a smile to my face. I haven't been on here in a long time and to see this good news today is awesome. I recently completed the Transp. of HazMat course as well, for the third time as you know it's due every two years. It always seems as thought I get chosen as the HazMat manager wherever I go.

I'm glad everything is going good for you and you are making it over life's speedbumps. Just remember, when you are tavelling down life's path and you no longer encounter any bumps, you probably took a wrong turn somewhere.

I am actually back on another deployment again too and brought the flag you sent me from your last deployment. I am going to have it flown over our FOB. One flag, two theaters. BTW, my wife recognizes that flag as one of my most prized posessions. I recently went through SERE and have even a greater respect for it now.

Again, congratulations on Baby Maile and the wonderful family you have.
