Re-painting my engine bay?
« on: March 17, 2010 - 11:47:18 PM »
Help!  :banghead:  I had painted the interior and engine bay with single stage earlier(last fall) before i had started working on the exterior with Base/clear. The color was off enough that i couldn't stand it. So now i am sanding (roughing it up) so that i can do the same base/clear. The problem i am having is getting into the nooks and crannies and the itty bitty pits. i understand that the new paint will not stick to anything shiny, but is their anything else i can use to help the paint adhere to it better if i am unable to get into certain places?   :bricks1:

:iagree:  Done that many times, make sure you wipe down with thinners or a preping fluid.   :2thumbs:

Thefirst time was right after sand blasting, so everything was pretty well stripped and clean.
