Ben,
Since you are going to pass on it. How about the info on this car?  70 is my favorite year for Challengers and I know lots of guys that will jump on it. Did yo take any pics? What is the guys' phone number.

I wish I could help you out Shelby but the guy would only deal with me through his son...  No pictures either, because he would only deal through his son who wasn't terribly reliable with getting information.  I'll see what I can find out though.

Understeer is hitting the wall with your front end.
Oversteer is hitting the wall with your back end.
Horsepower is how fast you can hit the wall.
Torque is how far you can push that wall after you hit it.

I'm sure your miffed about the.....uhhhh.... misunderstanding, but maybe this thing is a great deal at 2500, decent '70 or any e-bodys at this low a price are few..VERY FEW & 600 are apparently non-existent.
Did you get a chance to see & look over the car? May be in your best interest not to burn any bridges.    :2cents:

Ya, I learned a long time ago not to burn bridges.  Invariably I end up having to cross them.  If it's a deal at $2500 and had the money I would go for it, I just don't.  All the extra cash I had floating around from tax returns and deployment money went to some very needed home deco/improvements.  Not a big deal.  The son had originally told me $600 for the car and $750 with new seats, I reminded him when we spoke last night and he said he would get clarification from his dad and let me know.  So we'll see.

Sounds like he was yankin your chain. It's still fun to dream though.  Good luck!

FWIW I have seen piles of rust that used to be Challengers sell for $2500 so if the car is legit you might want to try to pull it off somehow.
