tank / sendingunit question
« on: March 21, 2010 - 02:07:12 PM »
today I thought I`d dig up my fueltank of my 70 cuda.
Since there was a bunch of crap rolling around inside,   I figured it would need to be replaced.  Turned out it wasn`t rust, but all kinds of other debri...   I took out the sendingunit and it`s filter on the end of the tube just fell apart, but other than that, it is in good shape and was working fine last time I checked.  Now,  can the filter be replaced or do I need a new unit?  I`d rather keep the original unit since there seem to be a lot of problems around with replacements.  :dunno:

I will also need the seal between the fillertube and the trunkfloor,  and the rubber ring for that tube in the tank...  are those available too?
thanks

Hey Dutch, I know for a fact that the filter "sock" is available separately. I bought one from VansAuto but I think Dave at Rosevilles also has them. As for the rest of the pieces, I don't know, someone else will have to help out there.
