will these fit my car
« on: March 23, 2010 - 03:22:47 PM »
was looking at challngd73's thread about the halos he put in and was thinking they'd look cool on my 70 aswell, i was wondering if they would fit within the headlight assembly

You may have to cut slots in your headlight buckets to allow for the halo bulbs sticking out of the back.

You might want to order a set from JCWhitney.  They take returns and sometimes have free shipping. When you get them, try them for fit. If you don't like them, take them back to the post office in the same box, then say "return to sender"     Wont cost you a dime.       That is where I bought my PILOT H4 Headlights in my Chally. I didn't get the Halos because I thought they were gay.

Check with Goody/Mike.. He put in a nice halogen conversion (not halos).. He's talking about upgrading so his might be 4-sale soon  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?action=profile;u=2303
You will need to put relays off the battery to run halogens.

Just changing the current H4 bulbs to a HID bulb/ballast. Still keeping the housings.

If i were to buy another set, I would buy the Hella 7" conversion bulbs. No halos for me.

I did lights similar to these when I was still trying to decide what to do with my lights. I found that the notches in the back of the buckets did not match the ones to the headlight itself. So I had to grind those off so that the top of the light would be where it was supposed to.

Then I ended up going the H4 Bulbs with the Halogens. (I am having electrical problems with them as of right now.) But I had to cut holes in the back of my Fiberglass fenders to get the lights to be able to go all the way back. Another downside to these lights is that they are a little to small and its a bit difficult to get the trim rings that hold the lights in them self hold them perfectly.

Here are some pictures I have of my Projector lights.

It ay not be much help but if you want I can grab pics of whatever you want of my H4 lights

thanks for the responses, wasn't so into the halos but would like H4s. i still have gass fenders so if i have to cut a hole in the back i wouldnt really care. if i modify the brackets would i be able to put in the old ones without hassle?
