I just found a couple more 833 ODs with shifters for $100 each. That makes 4 for me.
That's what I use behind my 440 with 3:55 gears.

From 80s style half tons with slant 6s in them.  Don't pay too much for these, just look around.

NO, wish it was that cheap.  I wasn't sure of what I'd be getting on the Ebay $2000 package, so have been buying individual pieces.  The trany I bought seemed ok, rotated ok on external inspection, but the wrench turner in me had to tear it apart to check it....of course it needed parts, mostly because it had not been assembled correctly in the past.  For example, they had left out one of the counter shaft needle bearing spacer washers that keep the double rows of needle bearings in place....end result was the needle bearings were feeding themselves forward.  They had chewed thru the brass thrust washer, and then into the slot in the cast iron case that the thrust washer tab locks into.  The case was damaged beyond repair.  No problem, after researching where to get parts and can I trust them, I call up Brewers Performance and buy another case and other parts...see how the $$$ go:)
Another example, the pedal assy I bought works well, but the clutch pedal "arm", the main arm that reaches from the pivot down to the actual pedal...well its very thick metal and its bent/twisted from pushing against pressure plate springs, and the pedal return spring helps promote more twisting. The twist is between the pivot and the link for the clutch rod...a very short distance.  I can't think of a way to remove the twist.  There is no place to grab onto it in such a short span.  Maybe if heated almost white hot, then twisting.  So I'm considering buying another set of pedals.  The cost keeps going UP!!   IF you could get most everything you can off a wreck could be a cost effective way to go.
So I'm over the 2k price, but that goes with about every thing else on putting this car together.  Trying to do a decent restoration is not done on a budget, so I"m finding out.  I sure can't afford to do another one.  My wife support me, thats a big help.  She's excited to have the car up and running...still a ways off.

Brewers does offer the full meal deal with everything to convert for around $4000.
Brewers price is now right at about $5200 for everything in 2016. I managed to do mine for about $3500 but I found a good used close ratio trans for $325 which saved a lot.

I got mine from Passon's Perf., everything except the carpet for $5030 delivered to my doorstep. It was a 23 spline 4 speed (non-OD) unit. Communications with Jamie Passon was excellent. I believe Brewer's and Passon Perf. were very close in their prices.
