How in the heck to do I get the window regulator out

I can't get the gosh dang window regulator out of the door cavity!!   What is the trick??  It looks like it was built in the damn car.  I know that is not the case, so someone please give me the secret trick.

Just going by memory which most here know mines about gone   haha    but you have a couple of bolts on the bottom underside of the door (outside)  like 3 where the handle rolls up, then I think like an allen head type at the top close by the mirror area. I have the glass out and all the rails out.  All I have in the door cavity is the regulator. Does the shaft for the window roller come off?  I'll take a picture.

Here is a pic.  It actually looks like it was modified.  Look at the window crank shaft.  It welded the bushing piece.  Is this the correct regulator or should I just get the sawzall out and chop up the regulator to get it out?

Have you tried to put the crank on and turn it? Sort of fold the mechanism together to make it less bulky.

Yeah.  Right now that big gear is touching the bottom of the door and hitting on the top.  I'm going out to try rotating it all the way around if possible, but because of geometry class in grade school, my head is telling me it still won't come out.  I'll let you know.  Does this regulator look like yours?

I have yet to restore my doors. Haven't taken them apart. I am trying to learn as much as possible before I do!
