    Ok.  She is back and only one surprise and it isn't that bad.  Seeing the car in this state has a jaw dropping effect.

    I didn't have the camera ready to shoot her when she was on the trailer, so these in my garage will have to do. 



    Here is the roof.  Is there supposed to be bondo on the roof rails?









    Along the passenger's side.




    Driver's side rear...




    The cowl looks really clean.



    Engine bay..











    And the trunk.






    Lid...




    and the hood...  Looks like he just tack welded a plate over the nostril covers, should be easy enough to cut them out





    Those shocks were blue!!! 





    Now for the surprise...  about 1 inch of bondo on the front valance... The guy said it was cheaper for me to buy a new valance than to pay him to sit there for a few hours blasting it off... I agreed...  He blasted out a small hole to show how deep it went.







    Over all the car is not in bad shape.  There are a few spots where somebody welded in patches , passenger door (don't have a pic), drivers front fender.  Also, there appear to be pin holes in the door metal. 





    Wasn't expecting it to come back in such nice shape and now that the 5 layers of paint are off its going to be fun getting her back together.  Now to prime it before it rusts right before my eyes.  There is 30% of rain the forecast so I may just take a half day off work and get her primed tomorrow.

    congrats... that looks like a great starting point for the resto  :clapping:     what`s up with the PS oil in the enginebay.....  :misbehaving:  :bigsmile:

    Looks like there was still some power steering fluid in the steering box.  Should clean up with the stuff I got from Summit.
