Jeff, those extensions are goodmark.
Thanks Dave

Thanks for chiming in guys.
Jeff, I see how you had to reverse your flange on the extension panel the same way I have to. Fitment looks good otherwise.

Yep, exactly, and if I remember correctly, (me?...........remembering something?................me? :roflsmiley: :clueless: :eek4: :grinno:  )

Just picked up the latest 72 -74 Challenger AMD Quarter Panel from Dave.
There are many revisions that have been made to this 72 -74 Challenger panel.
This is what I see so far.

The good:
Bubble wrap and foam blocks attached to panel throughout shipping
More correct trimming/stamping at the C pillar intersection/Sail panel
No more draw marks from stamping
More accurate flanging adjacent to the dutchman window chanel
No more sink by the fuel filler
Tight A line
More accurate interface to the tailpanel.
tight radii into the door pillar
reduced flange below the door
Cleaner linework aroound the  wheel lip
Improved extension panel/Tail panel interface stamping/trimming

Areas for improvement
A line/surface in proximity to the turn signal has a large hi spot, resulting in a  large area to fill
Linework below the bumper interface has inconsistencies in radii, flanging is still not perfect.
Wheel lip area still needs surface development for cleanup, could use better linework, sharper edges.
Plan view crown on quarter panel is not perfect.

Best,

Dan

AMD Quarter Panel

More correct trimming/stamping at the C pillar intersection/Sail panel

More accurate flanging adjacent to the dutchman window channel

No more sink by the fuel filler

More accurate interface to the tailpanel.
Improved extension panel/Tail panel interface stamping/trimming

only a little trim is necessary--> follow the silver line

tight radii into the door pillar

Improved lower hem flange with correct drainage formation

All in all, I was pretty darned impressed with the fit of the AMD panel. It just about slid on with minimal effort, and only a slight trim near the dutchman/gutter.
I'll save the areas for improvement for another time.

before

after

I'll detail the extension panel in another post.

Here is  my factory Extension panel.

Here is the Goodmark extension panel

Note the "dent" formation. Very odd. :dunno: :clueless:

It needed to meet the "persuader" and lead shot bag.

The formation is now correct to accept the quarter panel  :2thumbs:

I will correct the rest of the extension panel formation to replicate the original, ensuring proper fit.
