oil filter number?
« on: March 27, 2010 - 07:43:15 AM »
Anyone know offhand the right oil filter number for a 318 (76 year) using the right angle oil filter adaptor?

I have a Mopar MO-090 that I think is the right one, but not sure....

Cant see the number on the current filter and wanted to pickup new supplies today without taking the old one off first.....
Thanks folks!

Well, I just did some sniffing on the web...apparantly all the MOPAR oil filters are made by FRAM!?!?!?
 :bricks1: :22yikes:

I have avoided FRAM filters like the plague after hearing all the bad stuff about them...been using the Mopar branded ones for a time in my Durango and just put one on the fish.

The Napa filter that I pulled off was  numbered 21085......Cant seem to confirm or not whether that is a "good" number.  Looks the same ast he mopar mo-090 that I installed though.

So should I replace the Mopar filter with a Napa?

Its not right that all these filters can have one label on them and be made by someone else without disclosure....

manufactures have been doing that for years, that also holds up for almost every part made. Fram and Puralator have been around for year doing OE filters, Wix is the napa brand from what we have been told, so if you dont like wix , punt
