Who's AAR Ducktail is recommended? + Yeh/Ney
« on: March 28, 2010 - 11:51:54 PM »
Not looking to spend a fortune on one, 'exact' reproduction isn't necessary on my car. Something that fits well, and looks close will do just fine. Does anyone have a certain companies spoiler they recommend? I've imagined one on my car, think it will go with..comments?

The one on my car is from FPAP as well. It is nice but it is not cheap.

DCS had a good spoiler and not an arm and a leg.

Looks good mopardave, thanks! I think the spoiler will look pretty good on my car. Still debating it.

Any of you guys know if my 72 deck lid would have the cutouts? Or is that a 70 only thing?

Thanks for the info guys.

Goody,
I think the spoiler would look great on your car! It is hit or miss with the deck lid. A 72 should not have the cut outs but you never know. My 73 did have the cut out or some one changed out the deck lid but that was unlikely as I bought the car in 83. By the way, I have not forgotten to get you those firewall pictures but I have just gotten back to the states after being gone for 6 weeks.

This spoiler I think will look good on any Cuda. It just sets the back end off a little more,  :2thumbs:

First Place Auto Parts also sells templates for the cut-outs. If you go to their On Line Catalog just look under "Spoilers - Rear (and Components). They're 30 bucks each and you'd need the left and right side ones to get all 4 holes with the correct shape and location. Probably an expense you weren't counting on.

That is such a wickedly good look it keeps me rethinking my decision to keep my 73 Barracuda 'stock' looking.  I just need two Cudas now, one to finish stock and one to do whatever looks & runs the best!
