Scored some aluminum slotted rims....

Got them off of craigslist locally.  I was surprised how light they were.  I have to look at the rims to see who manufactured them.  Just bought them then stashed them in the garage.  The crud on the sides of the rims just brushes off, maybe dirt.

Total got 6 rims, at least $50 worth of lugnuts and washers, and 1 Goodyear Eagle ST 245/60-14 tire for $125.   :icon16:
(2) 14x7 (I think, maybe 6.75") and (4) 14x8 (2 are more polished than the other two.)

Cool thing is that the dude threw in for free a 1/25 scale 1975 Oldsmobile dark gold factory promo as he knew I liked model cars.  Cool dude he is!  :thumbsup:

Don't recommend putting a lot of power through those unilug washers and make sure they are always torqued up to correct specs and even around the 5 lugs.

My engine is all stock still with only 240 hp so unless I don't torque the lugnuts right, shouldn't be any issues...hopefully!  :biggrin:

For a minute I thought they could have been the wheels I sold about 8-10 years ago!  Mine were American Racing Mags 4 14x8, 2 14x10s.  Only reason I sold them was that even then getting tires to fit was very limited.  Only larger tires (275's) I could find for the back were M/Ts.  Goodyear, Firestone, etc. weren't offering them anymore.  If you stick with smaller 60's (225 or 235's) you may have more choices even today, but I'd check tire availability before spending a lot of elbow grease on the slots.  Will look way cool though, I know I miss mine..

I was just looking at them yesterday.  The 2 more polished deep ones say "DIV-ET" on the rear lip, so I assume they are ET rims?  :dunno:  The other 4 do not have a company name on them.   :clueless:

The fronts are 14x6.75 and the rear I think are 14x7.5.  I have a couple of 225/70-14 that I'll toss on the rear and 215/70-14 for the fronts as these tires are just kicking around the garage.  They are the same sizes as I currently have on the car now.

BF Goodrich still makes 245/60-14 tires if I go that route.

I like the Magnum 500s but something always made me look for slotted rims and these seemed like a decent deal so now the quest is over....for now until something else comes up.  :D
