Got a question for you guys thats good with welding?

i have a Lincoln Electric  Pro MIG 140-Amp Welder and im going to move the springs on my car in on the rearend so ill need to move the perches in can i use this welder to weld the perches on?i have never trusted my welding but when i do weld stuff,everybody says it looks good,but how do you know if its going to hold..if i can anytips will be helpful..thx

it will do the job... but will the welder...?  It may be wise in this case to pre-heat the parts before welding.  you will get a deeper burn easier.   may also be wise to have a welder do it... tack it together and take it to a weldshop... it`s only a minutes work and you are save.

Good penetration = a good weld.  Can you trust your life,you car and any possible law suits when your work flies in road in the way of otherrs?

Good welds have certian look.  Most shade tree elders dont turn out a super weld:   So, do you trust your own work?  Thats your call

Get guy that knows welds to look at your welds.  Better yet, have that guy do it for you

Well im going to lay a few welds and post pics..my welds dont look bad at all...but you may say it looks like hammer dookie..on a piece of sheet metal im a BEAST..on thick stuff im not sure..but we will find out..thx for the info..and DUTCH you show off...nice work  :bigsmile:

 :jumping:    oh yea... I`m overdoing..... sorry  :roflsmiley:    I`ll take it away if it`s frustrating  :bigsmile:

try heating the spot a bit with a torch before welding, you`ll be surprised how much a bit of heat helps  :grinyes:
