Finally made some progress today!!!!  :bananasmi  :ylsuper:  :working:  :clapping:  :woohoo:

Warn enuff here to paint afew things and get some things done. Finished painting some brackets and a pulley (not the one I lost..... that has NOT turned up!!) Cleaned up nuts and bolts, chased EVERYTHING. Got scared for a minute when I found anti-freeze on the tranny any below it on the floor. Burt as best I can tell its from that POS chrome thermostat housing!!! Was gonna replace it last year but once I was done with the floor it was 2 weeks before Labor Day.. had to cruz a little bit!! I've said it in other posts BUT... Never use a chrome housing THEY WARP!!!!!!!! ... my only excuse is that I was LAZY.. it came w the car!!

Here's a few pics and a link, cause ...   :useless:

Scott I KNOW  your  right about that!!!!!!  One thing leads to next, then I see something else thats NOT up to snuff. It never ends, fortunatley I have a supportive wife! When I unwraped the pos bat cable she was the first one to say.... your not puting that back in there are you? In a year or two I want to freshen up my disguisting engine bay. The HEMI will have to come out.......................... OMG this scares the crap outa me!  :money:  :money:  :money:

Yesterday got a few hours in. Got a little side tracked , had to get my Dads car going. Turned out not to be a big deal -bad battery. But the way he made it sound I brought half my tool box!

Anyway I'm at the JIGSAW PUZZLE stage of this project. If you have ever played one of these.....
Ext man/gasket/pipe/pos cable/oil dipstick tube all has to go up at about the same time. OL BIGS is workin alone here ,  under /top under/top under /top... I started feeling like a 2 dollar hooker after a while cause i was up an down so much!! THie biggest prob at the moment is to get the dipstick in. I gotta pretty crazy bend in there. BUT it worked before!! Kind of had a corkscrew effect to it. This originally happened when I put the schumaker mounts in last year... I'll get it,  .... eventually. Also finished up the p/s pump, the heat sheilding on the new pos cable, and got the therm housing painted up to get rid of that POS chrome leaky  :swear: :swear: junk!

I gave up on my chrome thermostat housing a few years back. It don't matter how much RTV you use, those bastids leak.    :stomp:

Keep up the good work BIGS.    :2thumbs:
