the hoile in the steering shaft is just a marker so you know to put the samll roll pin in line with that hole otherwise the steering wheel would be upside down with the coupler installed 180* off
Mopar has the coupler rebuild kit for about $13
I have a  spare gasket if you need it

The coupler actually "feels" ok, not sloppy or anything. I could use the gasket Neil, you take paypal??  :dunno:

dodj - DMT is not that far for sure.... but looks like that gasket only comes in a set..
Thanks for the imput

Now its back to high 30's - lo 40's AGAIN!!  A bit to chilly in the garage for "non-emergency " projects.  :banghead:

Just got to try out my Firm Feel stage3 steering box today.  You are going to love it.  Did you get the fast ratio pitman and idler too?

Shane, I did go w the III box. For now keeping my arms the same, and will change them if its not responsive enuff for me.  :grinyes:

Now...... I'm loosinit you guys.... I LOST MY STEERING PUMP PULLEY!!!!!  :eek7:  :screwy:  :eek4:  :nono:  :22yikes:  :banghead:  :clueless:  :villagers:  :crying:

I had when I got started yesterday (in my hand!). Was cleaning up bolts, brackets, painting this , blackening that.... and my pulley beamed up.... I'm serious... not to be found... the wife even looked...

Granted my garage is on an alley, and I did run to the house a time or two. We do get our share of alley pickers around here too (guys that pick up metal to cash in kinda like the guys you see w the aluminum cans). But the's stuff of actual monetary value that could have been taken if thats the case.
Granted thers lots of stuff in my garage, but when I do a tear down everything gets marked , bagged , tagged ect...

Did the hunt all over again this morning...

Got a little done last nite... cleaned up the new pulley for paint and swaped out the idler arm. After closer inspection it was getting a bit sloppy. Could have ran it for awhile... but NO!

Now its cold and rainy here for the next few days so I'll have more time here!  :woohoo:  :roflsmiley:

Could get 4 inches of snow up north of here today...  :stomp:  :faint:

Well I actually accomplished something... I got the arm back on!  :woohoo:

Was gonna get back to work tomorrow BUT I get a flyer in the mail when I got home..... A cancer benefit for a lifelong friend's daughter-in-law. I was always "uncle" when the kids were growin' up and they still call me that to this day...  family first....

No idea on the details but a cancer benefit is NEVER good news!
