Hey I made it back out to the garage tonite! (briefly) Worked on getting the colum back in, had to call the wife out to give me a hand . I had a helluva time getting the coupler on the box! It took a week bit of tapping , which I didn't want to do.  :nono: Actully poped the top off the coupler.  :banghead: Got the roll pin back in, everything else just has nuts and bolts on by a thread or 2. Stuch the centerlink back up, just a few threads too!. Hopefully everythings lined up ok.  :dunno:  Most likely will find out later this week, too much to catch up on since I came back from Florida. Keepin' my fingers crossed......

haven't tried it in neutral... but thats the first thing on tomorrows list. Colum connecters all good, my neck still hurts from double checkin'. Weird.... never had a "no crank" w her long as I owner her.  Didn't mess with shifter /neutral switch at all. Made no linkage adjustmnents. Even swapped start relays (but really didn't think that was the prob). Got the test light "on" at the I terninal when I hit the key...   :pullinghair:

Don't know what your testing, but it would not be the 1st time a new part was bad...sure the brown ground wire is on?

If the test light comes on at the relay when you turn the key, try connecting the brown ground terminal straight to the negative on the battery. If it starts then its is the nss wiring and or linkage adjustment. If it doesn't turn over, it's the relay.

The prob appears to be somewhere in the adjustment of the rod going to the arm on the bottom of the column. When I play with it I can get her to crank. Seems as if the column did not go back in "exactly" the same spot where I took it out of. Also when the key is "off " I shouldnt be able to take her out of park should I?? I can almost make it to neutral. Gotta go play a little more. Didn't BARRY have some thing on this awhile back??
