Mickey Thompson, Cooper, Maxxim, Dean, the list is kinda long. Stock sized stuff is pretty wide open and as long as they are round, you're good to go for crusies to the show and shine. What exactly do you want to do with the car?

I prefer the BFG Radial T/A's on the stock 15" rallye wheels, with say 235's on the front and maybe 255's on the rear.

Any chance the girl came with the car?

I have BFG TA 235's on front and 255's on back also. For a cruiser they are fine, they hold decent in the corners but off the line they lack a lot to be desired, you will not hook up, i have been at a stand still on a 4 lane road and punched it and spun thru 1st 2nd and into drive, speedo was at 110 and when i let off it came back down to 70 so if your wanting to race from stoplight to stoplight they are no good, if you want to do burnouts there probably isnt a better tire, they are very hard tires in my opinion but will last quite a while, even when doing burnouts all over the place (i know that from personal experience) If you want traction id go with the nitto's.

I tried Firestone's on my Big block Buick and for the money I'm happy with them. It's hard to get good sticky rubber in 15" sizes so unless your getting new rims 16" or bigger you options are limited somewhat. I had found with BFG TA's they go hard like a hockey puck after 6-12 months and then traction really sucks! So depends what your after I guess?

:iagree:
i'm happy with the firestones. For about the same money as bfg you get IMO, a better performing tire. Bfg tread design must be 20 yrs old by now.

I've been a fan of the BFG T/A's for years. I had picked up a vibration on my vette and my alignment guru traced it to shifted belts on the 3 year old BFG's. He's not a fan of BFG T/A's anymore. I've heard great reports on the Firehawks and wanted to go with them. Because of space limitations, max tire I can run on the vette is P245/60/15 but Firehawks don't come in that size. So I went with the BFG's again and the vibration is gone at least for now? BTW, BFG has sent the molds for certain sizes down to Mexico. The BFG T/A P245's I had previously and the new set are Hencho En Mexico.

I have BFG 235's for the front and 275's for the rear of my T/A. They are long lasting tires but not to sticky.

I've had the Firehawks on several of my rides.  I would go with them again if I need 15" tires

I have yet to try them, I'll let you know as soon as I do.
