Just my  :2cents: on this one but I've had imports for about 10 years now.  I had a 1992 Nissan Maxima, a 1992 Mazda 626, a 2006 Mazda3 and I just bought a 2008 Mazda CX-7.  The Maxima was mine because I needed a car and my sister was selling it.  The 626 was because my wife and I hadn't had a car in a while and needed one so someone gave it to me.  The 06 Mazda3 was what my wife wanted, awesome car by the way, and the CX-7 was an upgrade in interior room and safety for my wife to drive my newborn around in.  I love the Mazdas I've owned and would buy another.  The CX-7 is my wife's the Chally (I'm supposed to be getting) is for me.

I've seen mentioned the pride in buying American, I respect that.  Hey, Mazda is owned by Ford.  They might be assembled in Japan, but they are still owned by an American company.

Understeer is hitting the wall with your front end.
Oversteer is hitting the wall with your back end.
Horsepower is how fast you can hit the wall.
Torque is how far you can push that wall after you hit it.
