cheers guys!
i'm really happy with the way it looks right now.
in the flesh (or should that be in the metal?) it looks fantastic.
i relocated the front bumper to fit tight against the body and grill, removing the filler panel and the internal bracing, and welded and hid the bumper bolts so that there's no visible mounting points.
the spoiler is a test for the proper fiberglass or carbon version. i plasma cut it out of sheet metal. i love it!
managed to seriously mangle it on a driveway the second day i had it on though... beat it pretty straight again luckily.
i also blacked out the window trim, flipped the tires around so the white letters are hidden, and matte blacked the grill and hood, with gloss black plymouth script on the scoop.
all together these changes really make the car work a lot better. to me anyway.
i had to laugh when i was at beach hop, my friends were in their car next to mine while we were all parked up awaiting the start of a cruise.
while i was away checking out other cars they overheard an old guy come up to my car and say: "would you look at this, the guy didn't even take the time to mask out the
trim around the windows..." thinking i had just spray bombed the whole car. my friends were laughing their heads off because they knew i'd spent hours the night before,
carefully masking out all the trim to spray it black! ha ha ha
while at beach hop i removed the front license plate, put black plastic caps over the turn signals, and put matte black vinyl over the headlights.
at night i cut shapes into the vinyl for the light to shine through, such as the cat pupils shown in the night pic above. good fun!
apparently it looked pretty sinister driving around at night...
