I am having some issues with the trim clips I have that go around the back of the vinyl. I don't know why. It is like the clips are just a pinch off. I got some SE clips and they totaly where not correct. So that leaves me with trim that does not sit right. The big issue is that due to the wind it is pulling up the vinyl at the trim. I am taking the car back in to be reglued ( I say this loosely as the glue is about as good as Post-It glue here in California. I will try using silicone on the end to seal it and see if that works. I am really unhappy with this set back.

I use 3M Top & Trim Adhesive part # 08046. It comes in a 5 gallon pail and I spray it on with a Binks # 62 spray gun. It is extremely strong and it has NEVER failed me. Call the individual who installed your top and ask him what type of adhesive he used and how did he apply it. You should not be having issues with your top already.

Do not put silicone on your top for a temporary repair. Go get it fixed ASAP.

ouch..... finally got the correct material, and now the guy used wrong glue....  :22yikes:    I agree with Todd... don`t start using temporary repair products, it will only make things worse in the end.  good luck  :2thumbs:

Car looks great. Hope you get things fixed right on your vinyl top.   :2thumbs:  Are your trim clips for the vinyl top trim the kind that push into a hole or sit over a nubbin? I had to convert mine to the 70 style, which is the hole with a tiny bolt that goes through and a nut on the backside.
