Pic of install seat belts retractor cover

Hi! I install the seat belts back in the car. Now I have to install the carpet but I'm to stupid to find out how the covers goes over the front seat belts retractors. Are they suppose to be glue to the carpet? Please keep in mind I'm not the one tha took the car apart.

If you have a '70 model they screw into the ears on the retractor.

Yes its a 70. That part I know but the plastic cover that goes under the carpet.

Those plastic covers are left & right specific and can only be positioned one way on each side for the carpet to fit correctly over them. Once you fiddle around with it you'll be able to notice the proper position, wish I had a picture of mine to show you.

They originally were glued to the carpet but I don't think it's necessary. I've never re-glued mine after changing out the carpet.

Well Nel, I was checking some stuff on the car and thought - hey - it's only a few screws so why not take some pics for Nel. All 3 pics are from the right (passenger) side one. I took a few different angles to give you the best idea. Yes, mine does have a crack in it. Anyway, hope this helps.
