Cylinder head ID help..
« on: April 11, 2010 - 03:36:34 PM »

I assume these are standard fare 346 heads, but when I look up part numbers, there are usually like 8 numbers or so for cylinder head casting numbers...didnt understand why there is only 4 in a row on these heads.  If my assumption is correct, these are most likely what came on my motor right? a 72 440..
thanks in advance.

Turn them over, you will see the complete number. 346 came in 1971

Id love to, but there is a heavy 440 attached to them;)  I just pulled my valvecover cuz I was curious what they were.  So, are they 346 heads?  Those are the only numbers I found on the head excpet the number 28 in  another spot.
