It Drives!!!!
« on: April 13, 2010 - 03:10:34 AM »
Momentus occasion!!!!

Today, for the first time in abt 4 1/2 years.......it moved under it's own power

Not far though.
Still no steering column in it yet.
But far enough to lay 2 black lines

Burnouts are cool but Traction is the Action

Burnouts with no steering FTW!!!!

Wasn't really a burnout.Just a launch out of the shed.Eerie feeling nailing it with nothing to hold onto :roflsmiley:

What bonnet do you have?

Bonnet is a rallye with modified blackout.

I like your stripes & color combo

Stripes are all painted and cleared over the lot. It's a high dollar paint job.Like 20 grand :scared:

Nah,no vinyl lid this time round. It had a vinyl roof(factory)when I first got the car but I didn't want it with the rebuild.

Couple of pics showing how the interior is shaping up

I wish I could drive mine, maybe in a couple of months, maybe.  It hasn't made a sound (if you don't count the echoing of curse words in and underneath it) for about ten years.  Like the car, I had my blackout painted on the hood also.  I also added the pinstripe around the black out, I hadn't seen that done so I thought it would be different. Close to finished but not quite.
Below is a pic taken at "Mopars in Mackay" abt a month ago.
Took out "Top Panel'n'Paint" award.
A few people reckon I'd have taken "Car of the Show" if it was finished off but the competion was high quality so I don't know.
It's cool to be suggested it's that good though :2thumbs:
