That is a real good deal for someone.   Wish I was making that kind of change now.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Wonder what the interior looks like and if he has the grill and other trim.  Does sound like a good deal, might cost you another $20k to finish though.

I guess the motor alone is worth 10-15k?

Considering the body/paint is done I'd say thats a heck of a deal.   Try and get one to that point including purchase price, body work, engine, interior, etc... never happen!   I don't know if doing all the work myself if I could.

Was there a request for sending money as soon as possible?  Just considering the scammers and their usual tricks.  It does seem like a great deal.

If it's legit, somebody buy the car and sell me the body.

I don't think so on getting the $$ ASAP... He did invite me to fly down to his place and have a look at it before buying it. I would certainly hope a scammer wouldn't ask that kind of a question but rather ask to send $$ 1st. ;)

Here's some more info on the 'cuda from the owner to include contact info...

1970 Barracuda Body
This is a 1970 Barracuda Body that had a 318 V8 originally.  It has a center console automatic transmission.  It was green with green interior.  This is a RUST FREE body.  The body has been completely stripped and sandblasted.  It had a rear quarter panel replaced because of damage (no rust).  I replaced half of the trunk floor panel because of the exhaust damage (again no rust).  I purchased the hood and had it installed.  The body is in excellent condition.  I spent a lot of money on the paint however the technicians’ that installed the engine scratched the paint in a few areas and when I had it towed it appears that something chipped the paint on the top of the vehicle.  The vehicle was painted black with a base coat clear coat paint process.  Everything was removed to paint all areas including the under carriage.  I have a brand new grill in the box for this vehicle.  I have the original tail lamps.  I purchase a new gas tank that needs to be installed.  I needs the bumpers and the front and rear glass.  I have all the side glass.

Interior
The interior was originally green so I had them reupholster the seats to the original color.  Both bucket seats and the rear seat have been redone.  I had all the interior trim re-painted to the original color.  The center console has been refinished like new.  (It needs the box cover).  It needs a new dash pad, carpet and a headliner.  It has all the original seat belts.  The dash gages appear to be fine.  The center shift knob and console is in good shape.

Engine
I purchased this 1970 Barracuda 426 HEMI engine from a friend of mine.  He disclosed that it is a correct year “Ray Barton” rebuilt original vintage 426 HEMI.  We replaced the black head covers with the chrome head covers.  I had the engine correctly installed in this body.  It has had the transmission installed along with the drive shaft to the rear-end.  This engine has been fired and sounds incredible.  It has a new set of headers installed and needs the rest of the exhaust.

This is everything I can tell you about this Barracuda.  This is why I am not charging $75,000.00 for this vehicle.  I have it priced well below value for quick sale.  I have close to $60K in this vehicle and have most of the receipts to prove it.  Please call me if you have any question or what to view it.

Hmmm.

My inner skeptic tells me to not touch this one unless you're standing next to it with the title within sight.  Anyone else see the tell tale signs I'm seeing?  So as not to tip off the fraudsters learning from us, I'll keep my mouth shut.

But...I could be just paranoid?

It's posted in the Arizona, Scotsdale section of Craigslist.

Understeer is hitting the wall with your front end.
Oversteer is hitting the wall with your back end.
Horsepower is how fast you can hit the wall.
Torque is how far you can push that wall after you hit it.
