Absolutely - I would prefer a white BEEFED up R/T.

I believe my final answer would look something like this:

R/T trim
6.1 Hemi
6 speed with wood handle pistol grip
D-O-D-G-E across the front middle hood
R/T fender badging with Challenger in script on the fender
R/T on rear trunklid (no spoiler)
maybe a nice matte black grille
chrome trim around grille

DONE

Rather than devote a lot of energy trying to get Chrysler to build your Vanishing Point Challenger for you, why not create your dream yourself? :clueless:
Here is a picture of a Challenger saved from another site where the owner dressed it up to make a modern version of the Vanishing Point car.  Looks pretty darn good I think!

That's kinda the car that started the argument at the other site. Said I really wasn't fond of the car being it was an automatic and had a moonroof. Not my style. Also, it still has the 5.7 hemi, not the big 6.1 hemi. I'd prefer the 6.1 hands down. These are heavy cars and need the big engine to get them going. Sadly, i think my present ride, 2009 Cobalt SS would take that R/T out.

I figured this would ruffle some feathers. I just like how these people that don't have a Challenger and most likely never driven one are such experts on how they perform.  I've been into cars for the past 45 years and it never changes.

You have a good oint about marketing a special edition VP CHallenger. I think they should have old style ads with Sherrif Joe and even have a commercial with the VP Challenger. Why make a car to look like a 70's car and don't market it as such

I like the idea but just build one yourself. Heck, stacks of them up there in the USA. :2thumbs:
Paint it an SRT8 white, no decals or stripes, a set of 17" modern Rallye rims, etc and go have fun.

I beat up on a few Cobalt SS's when I was at the track a few weeks ago with my 09 R/T Classic.  Both Supercharged and non-supercharged versions.

Devil - my car is the turbo version. MUCH quicker than the supercharged version. In fact, if you can do better than 13.32 at 106 - then you have a faster car than me. What are you running in that R/T Classic anyways? My car has a tune and a downpipe. I like my odds against a R/T Hemi with 375hp that weighs over 4000lbs any day.

Carl Walski - I admire you brotha. Kudos! Been following you car and site for some time. You got a nice buildabe car in the beginning...

Can anyone fix that picture  ( the new white VP Challenger )to lighten it up to see the car better ?
