« on: April 15, 2010 - 11:49:26 PM »
I don't think i have come on here and introduce myself,or my car..so here ya go..My names johnny..and im 33 and i have been a mopar guy since i was 16(thanks dad)i got my first car this 1971 barracuda after i was tired of chevy camaros and wanted something differant so we found my car on a car lot and bought it for 2900.00 it was a steal...drove it everyday to school..anyways started building a 500inch stroker for the car and decided that it was a little too much motor for my cuda so me and my dad bought a 72 duster, and went to town, great project for father and son...loved every minute doing the car..got the car together and it went 10.23 off the trailer scaried me so bad i jumped out in the pits and locked my keys in the car..anyways the car went 970 to 980 all day long..then i broke the rear and the motor over rev and bent 4 valves so we got it fixed and had a offer on the car i couldnt turn down so we sold it..then i got to messing around with the kos guys and bought a kos 72 demon and lenny melton built 451 indy head beast..and had that car for a couple months and it went 901 on a small tune of nos..before the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone..i cut a tire down at the top end of the track and rolled the car 6 times at over a 150 miles a hour...i then decided i was done with drag racing,so im back to redo my cuda and make it a protouring car..so here some pics of the cuda .. hello to all!!

Nice car, welcome:)

Man I hear ya, I used to drive circle track ack in the day at over 160 and ran a econo rail so fast after we put the new engine in I killed the ignition in 3rd and coasted 158 through the lights. Scared the you know what out of me. So I decided 1/8 mile was safer and restoring rides.

thanks and glad you are alright..

Sounds like a great MOPAR history.  Funny how people often grow up thinking "What the Hell was I thinking?".  Then again, there are a lot of members here that refuse to grow up  :burnout:.  Welcome to the site.

A smart idea if you ask me. You never know what you are going to find under paint or behind fenders and doors.

Yep your right..i know its got a little more filler in some spots ..but ill take care of that for sure..my biggest thing was the grill doesnt have 1 crack in it..everthing on it is perfect..so i can fix anything else..that grill is just high...
