Eastwood sells kits for the job. I've heard that if your fingernail hangs in the scratch chances are you won't get it out. I'm going to give it a try but have not yet.

I have removed scratches with 0000 steel wool. It is pain staking and takes a lot of time, but it works perfectly.  :2thumbs:

My windshield was toast. At night I could barely see.   We got this new wax from Presta. Quick wax. It works really nice. Buffed the windshield,It is SO much better! 60%  at least.  Use the fine pad @ medium rpm. Then hand wipe.  I'm about to buff the 'cuda.

I have used tooth paste on fine scratches in the past, it contains mild abrasive material.

There are auto glass companies that can get them out, even the ones you can hang a fingernail on

Look in the yellow pages, give them a ring and see if they do that type of work.  3 companies here in Colorado Springs do, and its not expensive

Frankly, my side windows need it bad

if deep scratches have to be buffed out,  the entire window will have to be done equally.  You will get twisted vision when you just polish the scratched area
