Well THAT was unexpected... After a personal interview a few weeks ago and then getting three different responses from three different people, I was suddenly called by my agent late last week and told, "You got the job!"
In just two short weeks I start working for Taggart Global out of Pittsburgh, PA. They're actually a bit south of the city - the main reason why I took the job. I've never been a fan of Pittsburgh, and D.C. has taught me that big cities are just NOT for me.
The company is putting me up in an apartment they own for a month-or-so, as needed, until I can find a place to live. They offered it because they gave me such short notice to start. I also used the opportunity to weasel a little more money out of 'em!
I'm actually really excited for this one. I think the job is going to be good, I THINK the area is going to be good, and all-in-all am pretty confident that this is the right move.

Oh, and this definitely means Saturday lunch is on ME at Carlisle!!!
