Brad I thought I did well at 75/night no AAA for me.  That is the fees and taxes too.  4C rocked it at 49.99!

The squeaky wheel gets the grease, as when I checked in I said we come here every year with our car club and why is it that I'm paying over $100 a night and other members are paying $50? Then I asked him if he could sharpen his pencil, and he did got it for 65 a night! :2thumbs:
Side note....this place is starting to get a little run down? No A/C in the lobby a worker said it hasn't worked for weeks? The parking lot looks to be under construction and the side road is now gravel?  The A/C in my room works...but not very well?  I mean the place will do but it appears they are spending as little as possible on it maintenance wise? I walked into the lobby and the desk clerk and another employee/owner? are laying down on sofa's with there feet up on the back of it, speaking east Indian? to each other. No very professional?.....

Yep . . I think its time to find a new hotel. This place is not doing well and the steakhouse next door is serving up more than just steaks.   :scared:   I would assume the hotel next to us is renting rooms by the hour.   :eek7:

Ash is going to track down some information on the newer hotels in the Shiremanstown/Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg area before she moves out here to Pittsburgh with em.  We'll find a new place to sleep AND eat...  :)  Hey 4C - just how was Doc Holiday's OTHER red meat, anyways?  :)   :stirpot:

The Marriott Courtyard in Mechanicsburg was nice....I only stayed 1 night. The places you stayed at were closer..this was about 15 miles from the fairgrounds.

Which one are you referring to?  We stayed at the Rodeway next door and was once again pleased.  $80/night, two queen beds. Not a cheap deal, but clean, comfortable and the A/C was KICKIN'!

The motel around the back of us was CRAZY busy...big parties etc...and the one you guys stayed at (our hotel partially faces the Qualityu Inn) had a ridiculously loud group of people partying at the pool at 11pm...thumping music etc....glad my room was on the other side of that mess. I would have been pissed to be right across from it. Did any of you run into that issue?

We(group) were in the parking lot at 11pm at that time so it didn't bother us...LOL

I hear you, we slept in a little due to the weather but, ended up being out there past midnight.  It was a long day for sure.  We may have to find a different hotel area for next year I guess.

Let's just say they were serving more than just steaks and burgers.
