As far as I know...

Thursday evening we eat at the steak joint next to the hotel we stay at as a group

Friday Morning we all leave out to the grounds, most split up, and then it's pizza and beverages in the hotel parking lot.

Saturday we again leave out early, and usually it's the long day with people sticking around for the burnout contest, bikini contest and the "big" drawing and then head over to for a group dinner ( Viperman has lined that up for us in the past ).

Sunday most start to head back home.

I know there is supposed to be a "show down" at a near by track, but have not gone, but thinking I would like to and also word on the B-bod board is that there is a drive in near as well that may be catering to the classic cars and showing some "car guy" movies.

Thanks for the list...it helps but what I need is address that I can punch in the GPS to find these places. I'm a hick from the Dakotas and can get lost easy.   :roflsmiley:

Sorry about that, well most of the stuff going on (that I know of) is either at the fairgrounds or at/near the hotel -

The hotel is the Quality Inn 175 Beacon Hill Blvd , New Cumberland, PA, US, 17070

And for the group dinner, I think you will have to get in touch with Viperman.

Hope that helps a little, we can always trade phone numbers as the date approaches too.

Viperman,

Mom, Dad, and I will be there again this year!  Woo hoo!   :2thumbs:  I don't know if I will be able to make the Sat dinner or not as I have to leave right after the show to get home so I can be home for my wife's B-day on the 11th.  Depending on what time the dinner is on Sat, maybe I can hang around a little longer.  Or, if you have it on Fri, that would probably be better for me.  Either way, I know my parents would love to attend again as we had a blast last year.

Well Bad news
there are a few factors here 1 - restoring my car has taken a huge bite out of my reserves
2-even though the economy here is actually not bad toys are the first cut in the budget & work has been exceptionally slow this year & i try to live on my income & I am over $1000 in the hole so far this year
3 - I cannot find a decent priced flight
4- the real kicker is for the first time in over 10 years I am no longer self employed , I have taken a job in construction & I doubt I can get get any time off this early in the new job & I expect to be working 11-15 hrs / day
So I cannot make it this year unfortunatly  :faint:

Neil,
We talked about you flying here instead and driving down in the Challenger possibly. I would be game for that but I still don't have the car running yet and have no idea what the tranny is like after DAS auto shipper had their way with it? :stomp:
So it will be a last minute thing if I take the Challenger or not. I'm trying to line up a trailer and tow it to the inlaws in Mifflinburg ( about 2 hours from Carlisle) to save on fuel and as a back-up so that might be a possibility?
Are you sure you can't get the time off, and would flying here and driving down with me save you enough money to make it work for you?  :dunno:We could split a room if that would help?
I'd sure like to see you there!
