Thursday night is generally an "on-your-own" evening because most people aren't in the area yet.  Even I'm not sure if I'll be there that night this year.

The restaurant is Your Place Restaurant - 6054 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg PA 17050.
The hotel is Quality Inn New Cumberland - 175 Beacon Hill Blvd, New Cumberland, PA 17070

What else do you wanna know?
Wal-Mart is at 6520 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA - between the restaurant and the show field.
The fairgrounds themselves are at 1000 Bryn Mawr Rd, Carlisle PA

Hmm, what else...
Nearest Beer Distro to the hotel - Olde Towne Beverage at 119 Bridge St, New Cumberland PA
Nearest State Liquor store - 128 Old York Rd, New Cumberland, PA

As far as other hangout spots, I don't know of many - I've ordered the pizzas for the past few years from a Brother's Pizza in the area of the hotel - they deliver to us.  There's a steak joint neighboring the hotel where most thursday-night arrivers will go eat - walking distance, even if you're hammered...

But besides some food, booze and Mopar friends, what the heck else do ya need?!?!?

Contact Jackie - "DoNotChallengeHer" for other hang-out spots - she usually does those more than the hotel lot and restaurant events.

And if you need to know any area-specific stuff, send me a PM - I used to live 20 minutes from the fairgrounds until just recently.

There's usually a cruise-in Thursday night at the Dodge Dealership on Rt.11, 10(?) miles north of I-81.

NOTHING beats the Middlesex Diner for a meal. Also just north of the Interstate on 11.
My name is Steve and I'm addicted to Challengers...

Any chance you have an address for the dealership?

How late does the cruise-in go?

A) Cumberland Valley Motors, 6714 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg PA.  I could have also said, "Drive down Rt 11 until you see more cars similar to the one you're in..."

B) I have no idea, but I'm guessing until the beer runs out or the cops show up.  :)

I just got my 2010 window sticker for Carlisle. It will make a nice memento on my desk. I've had to cancel my plans for this year as I have a MOUNTAIN of bills due to my wife's multiple surgeries. Maybe next year. Too bad as the Challenger is running AWESOME. Hope you folks have a great time.

We will be bringing the Sam Posey #76 Challenger Trans Am racer.  I don't know where we are staying since they are arranging the rooms for us.
The last time we were there was in 95 when it was so hot.  We had the #48 Gurney Cuda at that time.
If you see the Challenger just ask for Dave and I should be close by.

Thanks  Dave

GRRRR can't bring the Challenger this time. The wife is heading down with the in-laws ( in PA) the week before  ( kids too) and I have to drive them home after Carlisle. So if I want to bring the car I'd have to rent a trailer at just under $ 500 for 5 days and I'd rather spend that on parts at Carlisle. :crying:

We will be attending and this thread has really been helpfull. Flying in Thursday, rented a car, will go to fairgrounds that afternoon to see where it all is. With all these adresses posted we have mapped out to take "11" to Middlesex Dinner, then Wal-Mart to get a table for our swap space, then to Cumberland Motors for the show, then hotel... Our day starts by getting up at 4:30am in Minneapolis, Mn so will be a longer one.

Looking forward to this event (1st year). Stop by our swap space (I-62) to see in person the samples of the 1:18 scale Altered Wheelbase '65 Plymouths we are having made. Sould be a FUN trip.
