Old MOPAR interchange question.... Flathead 6
« on: April 23, 2010 - 12:46:06 PM »
My buddy's got a 1940 DODGE w a 218 flathead 6. He's got a line on a (supposedly) nice 251 out of a 51 DESOTO. My books dont go back that far. Anyone got any ideas on this??
Thanks

I dont know if they will swap but a Chrysler and deSoto engines at 251 and 265 iches are longer blocks 25 as opposed to 23 1/2 for the 218/230.
