Rotor seal problem

Hi am having trouble finding seals for my new rotors ,i order the seal for 73 challenger rotor but they are to big .I mesure the old one they are 2.648 inch the new one i need are 2.321 inch .I have posted the box that the rotor came in ,did any one ever get rotors like them and what seal did you get .I also posted pic of the new and old rotor any help would be good thanks

73 rotor is  different than 70-72 so you may have the wrong rotors if your putting this on a 73 if those you have are for the earlier style

thanks guys look like  i have the bad rotor there is no way i can fit this on my car .If i change the seal will it work or how can i make them work or i cant thanks

 the spindles are different,which means bearings are different and backing plate.brake caliper and mounts for caliper ect.,and the 73 is better,,when i did my 72 i upgraded to the 73 spindle and rotors ect.

I look it up bearing are the same the only thing i see not the same is the seal or  the spindle

it would be easier to get the proper rotors than try and make those work,i think it would be a lot of trouble to get those to work  you should send those back if possible or try an sell them and buy the ones for a 73

I think those are the rotors  have on mine they are 70-72 style, will not fit your spindle, the inner race surface is a different size than the later ones.  Good news for you is that the 73-4 rotors are much cheaper.

Thanks for the help After doing reserche on all the only way this will fit is if i use 73 bearing in the rotors they fit i tryed them .Only thing is i have to find a seal that has the outher diameter of the 72 and the innner diamiter of the 73 .If they make a seal like thatit will work .The diferance between the seal is the inner of a 72 is 1.73 and  the 73 is 1.99 .

Not saying this will work for everybody, but I've machined the back off where the seal fits and turned down a "Ring" out of it to drive into the bigger rotors....By machining the ring you take up the space and can now use the other seal....Hope it helps...I ran into this very thing when swapping disc rotors onto drum brake spindles.....

  :clueless:dont dr diff have something to remedy this??a bearing spacer?at least he have if you are putting newer rotors on -70 spindles.

It looks to me like there is a ring pressed into the rotor that would hold the smaller seal. If this ring could be removed, maybe the right, bigger seal will go right in?

BTW, where'd you get those and how much $$ were they? I see "Made in U.S.A. and I like that!
