727 swap to A-518
« on: April 24, 2010 - 03:37:45 PM »
I have a 73 cuda 340 with a 3:91 rearend. I was thinking about swaping my 727 for a 518 for better cruising RPM'S. What all has to be done with mounting and wiring for it to work?

never having done the swap most of the T bar crossmember needs to be removed as the trans in much larger for the OD gear , not sure about the wiring

A bloke I know in Western Australia has done it.
He swapped out all the electric sensors for vacuum sensors.
Over my head but may give you some ideas?
