street avenger carb questions

hi, i bought a holley street avenger for my cuda  with a 440. the dual feed line that goes to carb cant mount because distributor is in the way.any ideas for what i can do.also on other side of fuel bowl there is a big hole .there is one in front and rear bowl. is there supposed to be a plug that goes in .there doesnt seem to be any threads .thanks for the help

You should have 2 clear sight plugs that go there.Are you running a rubber gas line from from the feed line to the filter and then to the pump.I am running the 870 on a 440 with no issues.

I had a similar issue with my Holley -
The best I came up with was I flipped the dual inlet so that the main fuel "in" came from the firewall side instead of the distributor side.

i bent dual fuel line to clear distributor. not pretty but it works.on the linkage side of fuel bowl both front  and rear have the same size whole as the fuel inlet but nothing is there is that how its supposed to be. i cranked engine and didnt see any gas leaking.are those wholes/ports suppose to be empty.thanks

You could get a "Y" fuel ling instead if the chrome dual line gives you fits.

none of the fuel lines work on a big block mopar , I usually make mine using steel line & a tee& forming a line around the dist , the opposite side of the fuel bowl is not threaded or open for fuel but yo0u can bring fuel in from the rear as BB73 suggested

I ususally slide the coil out of the bracket a bit, and if needed, move it to the inboard hole by itself. The "holes" in the Holley bowls are not drilled thru on most carbs. So you dont need to plug or cap them.
