Repro gauges?
« on: April 28, 2010 - 09:06:27 AM »
Is there anyone that makes reproduction gauges for us 'cuda guys? If not, are there any gauges that are made to fit in the stock gauge locations?

Are you looking for Rallye Gauges or standard.  There are a few that you can buy new for the rallye, but no the standard.

Rallye gauges has two big round holes and some smaller ones to the right, Standard gauges has one big round hole and some smaller ones to the right.

Don't worry that you didn't know, there's an art dealer on here didn't even know what a 'cuda was when he got his car - LOL

lol yeah I was reading his post. I have always wanted a 'cuda but have never really done much research into them.......until I got one that is lol.

Where would I go to find repro gauges if I did have the rallye gauges?

The picture of the "standard cluster" shows a woodgrain overlay that is not typical.  I believe this overlay was an option for the gran coupe version, but not sure.

Hey Bart,  I notice that rallye gauge panel is scratched right where it's virtually impossible not to scratch it when you put the switch panel in (unless you tape it off).  Wonder how that happened?

Well I just checked and I have the standard gauges. Figures I guess lol. So I am just going to have to hope that they work, when I install them.

Those are interesting, I was just looking around and also noticed these

which would be suitable for anyone wanting a more modern touch.

Also I was just looking and the gauge all the way on the right looks like this

And there aren't any connectors in the back of that particular gauge. So I am assuming that this is just a filler and actually has no real purpose?

That is a filler. There was an option for a clock thats fills that slot. Also redline gauge works in california offers a tach and I believe an oil pressure gauge that can go in that hole. Also if your gauges dont work you can send them to a company like gauge works for restoration, but it is not cheap.
