I remember a couple years back taking a speed typing test and I got about 40 words per minute. I thought that was pretty good considering I had been taking typing classes and such. I just took another one, took it three times and averaged about 65 words per minute lol. Obviously I spend some time typing lol.

What's funny to me is I remember "homerow" from keyboarding/ typing class way back in 7th grade,even though back then, I failed the class miserably

My thinking exactly....But the class was full of girls, so that just shows how smart I am.

In my day boys just didn't do typing, things certainly have changed in 50 odd years.

Watch it Aussie, I graduated HS in 1964  I took typing because it was mandatory for the college prep courses I was taking, guess they were thinking of the term papers you'd have to type.?  But yes MEK I was one of two boys with about 15 girls in the class, I even took Typing II also, even though it was not required.

I left in 1965     no boys at our school went near the typing classes or even the cooking classes, pity I have had to teach myself both now.

I only took "man" classes in high school... now I'm the qwickest 3 finger typere on the south side of Milwaukee...
