Reality of a 6 pack?

My sixpack is a bit of a home made affair on an old Weiand superstock manifold.
i'm using 350s as outboard carbs and they are my primaries. The centre carb I call my thirdary :roflsmiley:and it's a 650 2bbl.
When i build some serious hp I still intend to use the sixpack and I figure I can go to a pair of 500s for the primaries if it is warranted.
You never know till you give it a go!!!

I think the $6K comes in if a shop does the entire install and tuning, especially if done on a chassis dyno.  Once these things are set up (carb or EFI), they don;t change on there own, so a lot of people who say they suck are probably trying to tune them themselves with no experience, or were never set up right to begin with.  Altitude could also have an affect, but that would take a pretty significant change, like moving to Colorado from Texas.

  I don't think that is a turn key kit for that price.

I'm not entirely sure what other parts were required for mine. Probably fuel system upgrades, pumps, lines.

I was just making sure that people don't think that the 6 pack itself is $6k. And yeah, it has to be tuned properly.

And I've got it running quicker than what I could with 2x500Edelbrocks or 2x600vacHolleys

Website says $2,678. One of these is going in my car. I'll let you all know how it is when I get it. 

That only gets you the throttle bodies and manifold.  You're also going to need a new gas tank with fuel pump, fuel lines, regulator, injectors and the engine management system to run it all.  I know, that's the system I have.

Wow, if that is all that gets you than I think it is kind of a rip off.

I put the six pack on my Challenger and I love it, I love it so much I'm putting one on my Super Bee as well. they're the next best thing to a Hemi.

It is tough to beat the visual impact of a 6 pack - and as  bonus they perform pretty well too.  To be perfectly honest, way back when I raced my cars and every horse counted, my original V code 70 Cuda had a big single Holley on it because It was faster to tweak and ran just as well.  Now my fake 440 car has three holleys because it looks much cooler and runs just as well. 
I'm pretty sure that in heaven, every Mopar has multiple carbs and all the GTOs have tri-powers (If they allow GM Products).

If the price and description are quoted upfront and are accurate, I don't see how it could possibly be a ripoff.

trip I ran into my 6000 rpm rev limiter of my MSD. I want to change that 'chip' for a 6500 one. But now that I read your comment, is there any use then if my sixpack limits me to that 6000??

Its a ripoff if to most people it seems overpriced.

I hope everybody spending that kind of money has a nice motor to start with. One that is built up with good parts. It would be foolish to put a $4000 unit on a $1,500 motor, lol.

^ Exactly. I think it's a rip off because you are paying a lot of money, for not a lot of parts. And lets face it those parts on most modern cars aren't that expensive.

the 6 pack may limit top end power but it would still be dependent on head porting , cam choice & exhaust flow , you should see some more above 6000 RPM IMO
