Really sorry about your accident.  I always worry about this type of collision too because as many of you know when you get your car out for a nice, relaxing drive some nutjob will get on your tail and try to egg you on.  I know this wasn't your case, but that's what I get whenever I take the Cuda out.  Please keep your car and have it repaired.  You won't regret it.

Glad everybody is OK, find the best shop around even if you have to travel a bit. You will need a shop that is dedicated to restoration of these classics. Start asking, I am sure somebody on here should be able to steer you in the right direction if you cannot find anyone.

Terrible to see one wrecked first ime out, feel bad it ruined your cruising season this year.I almost had the same thing happen a few years back when traffic stopped and a kid looking for a CD or something looked up at the last second and locked up his brakes barely mising rear ending the cuda.Even if the frame rails look OK the car will need to be put on a rack and have the quaters and door posts pulled back to position and they should check all the dimensions to make sure it`s straight.Get a big check from her insurance so there`s a little extra spending money after you get her fixed to make up for your pain!

I feel really sorry for you. I'm just finished with my chargerresto and something like this is what I fear the most. It's not enough that you drive nice and safely anymore with all the others out there.

:sadwavey: Glad of course no one was injuried, but your jolt may not bother you too much for a couple days, so I wouldn't "sign" off on that just yet, all car insurance also has a medical rider. As far as your car goes I would have it repaired, but by a restoration shop not by a local fender bender insurance claim garage, not likely they would give you the quality of work that you obviously put into your car. Hope the other driver and her insurance company coperate.

I totalled my favorite bmw a few years ago, and ofcourse I was happy to still be alive, but to this day my stomach still aches when I think about the way the car looked.  I hope things will turn out right, insurance-wise, and if not let us know as I`m sure we all can help...  :sadwavey:

That dumb bimbo should have her license removed until she can prove she is capable of driving undistracted.  Let’s see pulling off a highway sure sounds like a stop is in your future better prepare ; no Johnny you can’t have a new toy mommy is driving and texting right now… oh should I actually pay attention to what’s in front of me,  sir why did you stop? Hang on my girlfriend is calling me.  :stomp: :stomp: :stomp: :stomp:

Sorry I would take their house to pay for your repairs you have frame damage its bent under the back seat (maybe; I don’t know but it sure looks bad)

Don’t settle for anything less than what the best shop needs to fix it not a hack shop like you see on every corner.

And have your neck checked out any headaches or tenderness at all are signs of damage (I know from experience) get it looked into please be cautious.

So sorry about your accident.  That's everyone's worst nightmare on this board!  Thanks goodness everyone is OK....did the woman have insurance?  Best of luck with the fix....sorry man.  I had a woman back into my Powerstroke truck while she dealing with kids in the backseat of her truck.  Why are these idiots driving and messing with kids at the same time  :screwy:
