This is bad!   :22yikes:

I always have my eyes going in every direction when I'm driving, but this is something you couldn't control. I just wonder if a hard top would have faired better? Maybe the rear quarter panels wouldn't have slid forward? In any case, I hope her insurance company pays out the butt for this. The thought that plays in my mind is where to take it for repairs. I truly wouldn't know what to do.

So sorry about this sprecks. Please keep us updated.

Thanks again for everyones concern for my well being.
A friend of mine came over to look and we crawled around the car looking for hidden damage. The frame is definitely bent. We did some rough measurements and the passenger side at the rear spring perch is 1-1/2 inches higher than the drivers side. I didn't notice it yesterday, but the driver side quarter and door are buckled like the passenger side in the pictures just not as bad. I still haven't been in the trunk yet so I don't know what damage is done in there. I'll be making arrangements for getting an estimate tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted. Looks like I'm going to have to start another restoration thread. I've already restored this car twice. I don't know if I want to do it again.  :dunno:

Absolutely sickening. :eek4:

I'm thinking that would take maybe $30-40k to redo.  Demand NOS quarters!  Demand NOS parts period from the ins. agent!  Otherwise...get $90k for the total and buy it back for $5k.

I'd give it a few more days before getting the estimate.  This will give you time to really look things over, you want to make sure you claim all the damage.  I'd hate to see you settle, then find something missed.

As was stated above, do NOT settle on medical. It takes time for neck and back problems to surface. The insurance companies know this and will try to settle that portion of it in a hurry. If you dont then later when things do creep up they wil claim you are trying to make a buck. Do not get sucked in by their sympathetic bs, they dont care about you, you are just a number. You should have taken a ride in an ambulance whether you felt like you needed it or not. Adrenaline kicks in and you dont feel any thing for a while. Dont ask me how I know but I will say I have not owned a street bike since '98.

That just brings back bad memories of what happened to mine. And my damage wasn't near that sad looking. Sorry your going though this. Try to keep your cool when dealing with the insurance company.
