Thanks to each of you for your words of comfort and support, she lived during a difficult time. Born in 1929 she was raised during the great depression in a backwoods part of rural Ohio and appalachia. Became pregant when her solider boy sweet heart came back from WW II in 1945, thus I later was born. Today teenage pregnacy is common place, but not then. Realizing there was nothing in that part of the country as far as jobs, she moved farther north and began waiting tables at a hotel resturant. She finally got a factory job at Timken, and then moved me from my grandparents (age 10) to live with her. Worked her whole life, she started a "second" family having four other children. There actually is basically speaking the same amount of years (17) between me and mom as there is between me and my "baby" brother.
She was a caring and loving lady, but very determined and strong willed, I guess our Scott/Irish roots have motivated us. She never really complained about what life may have threw her way, just found a way to make it better for her family and go on. ..................... Thanks again.
